Behavioral Learning Systems, Inc., was founded by Janice Gaboury Pulcini in September 2006. 

An ESE teacher with over 17 years' experience, specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorders, Janice returned to university and completed her board-certification as a Behavior Analyst in 2004.  She was promoted to the position of Behavior Specialist for Autism Programs in the Putnam County School District, a position she held for two years, while beginning her private practice. 

In September 2008, following the passing of the Stephen Gellar “Window of Opportunity” Act in Florida, which mandated that children with Autism Spectrum Disorder receive medically-necessary behavioral therapy paid for by their health insurance, Janice opened the first ABA Children’s Therapy Clinic in Gainesville, FL.   With her passion for helping children reach their highest potential and her desire to help others learn more effective teaching strategies, Janice began developing a team of dedicated therapists, eager to help make an impact in the lives of the children and families in need in our community. 

In December 2017, the second Behavioral Learning Systems, Inc., Children’s ABA Therapy Clinic was opened in Lake City, FL, under the very capable direction of Teresa Yancey, BCBA. 

In September 2018, the Behavioral Learning Academy was opened in Lake City, FL, with Teresa Yancey, BCBA and certified Florida Teacher, serving as the School Director.  

Today, Behavioral Learning Systems, Inc., has grown to nearly 50 team members, including Board-Certified Behavior Analysts and Registered Behavior Technicians.
